Wildman-Chard Centre : Yoga with Dr. Suzanne

Bespoke Yoga Breaks from the Wildman-Chard Centre

CERTIFICATED YOGA BREAKS (from One to 7 days)

(150€ PER SINGLE PERSON OR FROM 50€ per person in groups of 3 or more.)

The day starts at 9am with a gentle introduction to the concept of what ‘YOGA’ is and what ‘YOGA’ is most definitely not!

Suzanne will put everyone at ease and note any individual special requirements for student safety and total enjoyment for the group. Next Suzanne will demonstrate some easy stretching poses to prepare for the yoga day ahead. Everyone will then perform these relaxing movements followed by a few moments of slow, pleasant deep breathing.

Introduction to ASANAS (poses) We now start to release stored tension and stress from all areas of the body by following a soothing routine of Yoga stretches that each compliments another in a logical and systematic way. At this point only the stretches are considered to ensure students have plenty of time to absorb the instructions. The above sequence is repeated but now the correct breathing is introduced with explanations as to why yoga works out in this way.

Break for morning dink and fruit or yoghurt

Back to listen to some more important but entertaining information about YOGA while food is digested. Time also, for any questions about the day so far or YOGA in general.

Introduction to BANDAS (locks) This fascinating part of Hatha Yoga consists of a number of poses where the student will learn to combine holding the breath (only for as long as comfortable-no contests!)-while putting the body into a particular position to ‘lock in the PRANA (Life Force). This extremely soothing and comforting range of techniques will be useful when the student returns home to use in times of stress or fear. It further allows digestion of food before more physical work.

ASANAS-Revisited 2 hours of ASANAS including correct breathing follows. All levels of ability and agility will be individually catered for. Those wishing to extend to more advanced techniques may begin here if Suzanne considers it safe to do so.

LUNCH (All diets catered for) Plus one HOUR to Relax.

Introduction to PRANAYAMAS (breathing) and MEDITATION 2 hours of learning the principles and practice of YOGA breathing and Meditation techniques in some detail. This will include a large variety of both disciplines all of which will leave the student with a lot of new methods of coping with stress, tiredness, depression and problem- solving techniques!

Afternoon Break for tea, herb tea, coffee, water etc.

Review, Practice and Further Questions Two more hours to review the entire day and go over the principle ASANAS, BANDAS, PRANAYAMAS and MEDITATIONS. Time also for any questions or special requests by the students.

The day ends around 7pm

All students completing YOGA courses with Dr Suzanne will be given the

‘WILDMAN-CHARD-CENTRE: YOGA CERTIFICATE of ATTENDANCE’
